FC Barcelona has announced plans to put various items from the old Camp Nou up for auction.
Items such as player lockers, penalty spots, corner flags and dugout crests will be available for the public to bid on.
Photographs of Barcelona’s Champions League-winning teams that were obtained by the club and placed in the tunnel at the Camp Nou will also be available.
Barcelona has teamed up with online collectibles marketplace Goldin on the initiative. Goldin has previously sold Barcelona memorabilia, such as Lionel Messi’s shirt from his winning goal against Real Madrid in April 2017 and a signed card from Lamine Yamal’s first season with the club.
The auction will begin on January 23 and run until February 13. Fans will be able to bid on each item, which will be given a minimum start price.
During the 2023-24 season, Barcelona launched a new memorabilia product range, enabling season ticket holders to purchase their old seat from the Camp Nou. The seats were available to purchase in three different designs, with prices starting at €99 (£83/$102).
Members were also able to buy a piece of the Camp Nou turf or a section of the stadium’s goal nets, along with “ethical, sustainable diamonds”, which were made from the carbon in the soil that was used during the club’s final match at the old venue against RCD Mallorca on May 28, 2023.
The latest announcement comes as the Camp Nou continues to undergo major redevelopment work, with Barcelona playing its home matches at the Estadi Olímpic Companys while the project is carried out.
The club has yet to confirm when it will return to the Camp Nou, but it had been hoping to do so before the end of this season. In November, Barcelona confirmed it would continue playing at the Estadi Olímpic until early February.
