Digital services and consulting firm Infosys has unveiled its latest suite of AI-driven features and platforms for this year’s Australian Open.

One of the features will be a virtual reality AI stadium in the Infosys Fan Zone at Melbourne Park. The experience will use a generative AI speech-to-image feature, allowing fans to play on a range of different courts.

‘Beyond Tennis’, which is said to be the world’s first generative AI-powered tennis league, will also allow users to connect with virtual tennis players, train their teams, and compete in AI-generated tournaments. Fans can interact with 16 AI-crafted virtual players spread across eight teams throughout the year.

This year’s tournament will also feature AI commentary in the Infosys Match Centre. Infosys has a long-running partnership with Tennis Australia and the new innovations are powered by Infosys Topaz, a suite of offerings using generative AI technologies.
