The San Francisco 49ers NFL franchise has announced a wide-ranging, multi-year partnership with NetApp, an intelligent data infrastructure company.
NetApp will serve as a founding level partner of the 49ers, the highest tier of the team’s corporate sponsorship ladder. As the official intelligent data infrastructure partner of the 49ers, NetApp will use silo-free data infrastructure to support the team’s business operations, starting with the reimagination of the fan experience at Levi’s Stadium.
The 49ers are planning major tech enhancements at Levi’s Stadium. The NetApp Keystone storage-as-a-service offering will facilitate improvements to ingress and egress, bathroom and concession wait times, mobile app functionality and more.
NetApp also becomes the presenting sponsor of the 49ers 2025 NFL Draft, while the Levi’s Stadium Owners Club will be renamed. NetApp will also be the presenting sponsor of the 49ers’ strategy, data and analytics conference, Horizon Summit.
Costa Kladianos, executive vice-president and head of technology at the 49ers, said: “When Levi’s Stadium opened in 2014, it was one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in the country. While we have remained diligent in making improvements to the fan experience year over year, NetApp will empower us to make major changes that will bring the building into the forefront of technology-focused sports and entertainment venues.”
