Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan has announced a contract extension for Mark Lamping, the president of the NFL team.
Lamping (pictured right) will continue to lead the Jaguars’ business operations until the end of the 2030 NFL season. He has served as team president since 2012.
Khan said: “As we look ahead at what will be crucially important years for the Jaguars off the field, especially given all that involves the Stadium of the Future project, the leadership of Mark Lamping is needed more than ever.”
Entertainment services provider DEAG has announced that Lutz Grotehöfer has returned to the company as executive vice-president of operations.
In his new role, he will work closely with Detleff Kornett, chairman of the DEAG executive board and group chief executive; and Christian Diekmann, member of the DEAG executive board and chief operating officer.
By 2021, Grotehöfer (pictured left) had held various positions and areas of responsibility for different companies with the DEAG Group for 14 years. He temporarily interrupted his career in the DEAG Group to obtain a Master of Science in Economics at the Free University of Berlin.
Edgar Grospiron has been nominated as president of the organising committee for the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will take place in the French Alps.
Grospiron was an Olympic champion in mogul skiing at the 1992 Games in Albertville, France. His presidency will be proposed by the organising committee’s executive board tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Stade de Lyon.
Other candidates for the presidency included Nathalie Péchalat, Vincent Jay, Marie Martinod, Jean-Luc Crétier and Gérard Holtz.
Elsewhere in Winter Olympics news, the organising committee has been formed for the 2034 Games, which will take place in Salt Lake City.
Fraser Bullock will serve as executive chair and president of the organisation. He was chief operating officer and chief financial officer for the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City and led the 2034 bid effort.
Brad Wilson has been named chief executive of the organising committee. Wilson served in the Utah House of Representatives from 2011 to 2023.
Utah business executive Steve Starks will serve as a vice-chair of the board alongside Wilson. Starks is chief executive of the Larry H. Miller Company and former president of the NBA’s Utah Jazz.
Populous has detailed a restructuring of its senior management that includes Bruce Miller taking up the role of global chair and CEO.
