The Portland Trail Blazers NBA team has announced plans for major videoboard upgrades at Moda Center in partnership with sports and entertainment agency ANC.
The upgrades will debut ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season and have been designed in collaboration with long-time technology consultant Anthony James Partners. The HustleBoard and StatCentral displays will be upgraded to dynamic LED screens totalling 7,520 square feet of space.
The screens, alongside ANC’s LiveSync venue control software, will allow for more real-time stat displays, player personality videos and in-game entertainment. The upgrade features prominent videoboards in each corner with a ribbon board display between the two corners at each end.
Moda Center’s centre-hung scoreboard will see its size increase by 56% to 2,092 square feet of LED display, with more than 13.5 million pixels.
The International Olympic Committee has announced a Worldwide Olympic Partnership with technology company TCL.
The deal runs until 2032 and names TCL as the official Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner in the home audiovisual equipment and home appliances category. TCL products will drive new experiences for fans and athletes, including digital displays at the Games and household appliances in the Olympic Village.
Aiper, a creator of innovative cordless robotic pool cleaners, has signed a multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball’s Arizona Diamondbacks.
As the team’s official robotic pool cleaner, Aiper will bring its products to Chase Field to keep the ballpark’s Presidential Pools Suite clean.
Global fintech company SumUp has been appointed as the official payment processor for The O2 in London.
The multi-year deal, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, covers supply of payment processing on-site and sponsorship of payment processing across the arena. SumUp will work with American Express, the preferred method of payment at The O2.
The agreement will include the provision of all payment processing and ordering solutions within the arena that serve food, beverages and merchandise.
England Rugby has announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with LG Electronics.
The deal designates LG Electronics as the official TV partner of England’s women’s national team, and the official screens partner of Allianz Stadium (formerly Twickenham Stadium).
The San Jose Earthquakes Major League Soccer team will unveil an upgraded sound system at PayPal Park for its first game of the season against Real Salt Lake on Saturday.
The sound system features 11 KS28 high-powered dual subwoofers by L-Acoustics, along with a brand-new DJ stand. The Earthquakes have also partnered with fan engagement software Vixi to roll out apps such as Selfie Cam, Party Mode and AI Fan Filters.
Spanish LaLiga club Atlético de Madrid has partnered with Unilumin Group, with the deal designed to support the team’s Ciudade del Deporte (Sports City) project.
As Atlético’s official lighting partner, Unilumin will provide advanced lighting solutions to the Sports City’s facilities.
Consumer electronics company Samsung has agreed a sponsorship deal with the Saudi Pro League.
Samsung will serve as a gold partner of the league until the end of the 2024-25 season, with the deal set to deliver new experiences for fans.
