National Women’s Soccer League club Angel City FC has announced the appointment of Carmen Bona as its first president of business operations.

In the newly created role, Bona (pictured centre) will lead the club’s business functions and work closely with chief executive Julie Uhrman to expand revenue opportunities across sponsorships, ticketing and merchandise. She will also oversee operations and finance.

Bona joins Angel City from United Talent Agency, where she served as chief strategy and corporate development officer after a decade at Boston Consulting Group.

Uhrman has also been promoted to chief executive of Angel City by controlling owners Willow Bay and Bob Iger. Uhrman is a co-founder of the club and has served as president for five years.

Nick Forro has been named senior vice-president of ticket sales and hospitality at Major League Soccer team Seattle Sounders and NWSL outfit Seattle Reign, while Liz Poerner has been appointed vice-president of partnership marketing.

Ashley Fosberg, formerly vice-president of social impact and executive director of RAVE Foundation, the Sounders’ charitable arm, has also stepped into a new role as chief impact and fan engagement officer for the two clubs.

Kimberly Aigner will now serve as vice-president of fan engagement, leading live events and fan experience strategies in collaboration with Andre Elkins, now director of fan engagement.

Emma Kersh moves into a new role as director of impact and fan development, while long-time Sounders executive Taylor Graham will assume the role of chief integration officer. A search is also underway to appoint a new chief marketing officer, while the clubs are also seeking a new vice-president of content and distribution, vice-president of brand and creative, and director of consumer products.

The appointments tie in with the clubs’ new corporate structure, which places a focus on fan engagement and development. Seattle will be a host city during this year’s FIFA Club World Cup and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The London Legacy Development Corporation, which owns London Stadium, has appointed Darren Parker as executive director of development.

Parker (pictured right) currently serves as director of regeneration and development at L&Q Group and has 20 years of experience in urban development, investment and housing delivery.

Chris Bray has been appointed president of Europe for the combined Legends and ASM Global business.

Bray previously served as president of Europe for ASM Global, which was bought by Legends last year. He will start his new role immediately and will be based at the company’s office in Manchester.
