Spanish LaLiga team Real Sociedad has commenced the search for a new stadium sponsor, with long-serving partner Reale Seguros set to exit at the end of the season.

The insurance company has sponsored Real Sociedad since 2012 and took on naming rights to Estadio de Anoetain 2019. The naming-rights deal officially rebranded the stadium as Reale Arena.

Reale Seguros was the first insurance company to take on naming rights to a LaLiga stadium. In a statement released last week, Real Sociedad revealed that it will be parting ways with Reale Seguros in June.

Spanish newspaper El Diario Vasco has reported that Real Sociedad intends on signing a new naming-rights deal to replace Reale Seguros. The Reale Seguros deal is said to have been worth €10m (£8.3m/$10.5m) to the club since 2019.

Club president Jokin Aperribay said: “It has been one of the brands that has been most involved and that has best understood the way of being and doing things at Real Sociedad. A magnificent strategic partner that invested resources and trust in this club.

“Reale Seguros has been a participant and protagonist in the growth and consolidation of Real Sociedad and we can only thank them from the bottom of our hearts for having accompanied us on this journey. Our paths have separated, but we will always feel close to them.”

Javier Valbuena, director of communications and brand at Reale Seguros, added: “After 13 seasons of sponsorship, we can describe the strategic relationship between Reale Seguros and Real Sociedad as very positive. We have achieved important milestones, such as increasing the visibility of our brand in the Basque Country and achieving great sporting successes for the club.”

Reale Seguros also serves as Real Sociedad’s sleeve sponsor.
