PMY Group, a provider of technology solutions for sport and major events, has agreed a deal to support the new Grand Slam Track athletics series.
As the official technology partner of GST, PMY will provide technology management, integration and support, and fan experience solutions at upcoming events.
PMY supported GST during its first event in Kingston, Jamaica recently and the two parties have agreed a new multi-year deal ahead of this weekend’s event in Miami. GST has been launched by four-time Olympic champion Michael Johnson.
Hard Rock Stadium has announced an expanded partnership with Verizon ahead of this weekend’s Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Verizon has a long-standing relationship with Hard Rock Stadium and the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and it will now be integrated across the entire venue and its premier events. Verizon will play a larger role in supporting the Dolphins’ community initiatives and will work alongside the stadium to serve fans across various events.
Since the first Miami Grand Prix in 2022, Verizon has powered the Miami International Autodrome at Hard Rock Stadium with its 5G Ultra Wideband network. Its expanded partnership with South Florida Motorsports includes an elevated presence of Verizon branding across the circuit.
Baylin Technologies has announced that its Galtronics subsidiary has been awarded a $132,000 (£99,000/€117,000) contract to retrofit Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca.
Galtronics multibeam and stadium antennas will be installed to provide wireless coverage to enhance the fan experience at the stadium. The Azteca has a capacity of more than 87,000 and will be a host venue during next year’s FIFA World Cup.
Amalie Arena, home of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, has undergone a major video upgrade, with several enhancements outside the facility.
Exterior upgrades include a large-format corner display on the arena’s façade, two LED ribbons and several LED kiosks featuring themed content. Owner representative and strategic advisor Sensory Interactive oversaw the upgrades on behalf of arena operator Vinik Sports Group.

The 80,000-capacity stadium is home to the University of Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish American football team. It will become the first higher-education stadium to deploy the Federal Communications Commission’s newly approved 6 GHz spectrum outdoors.
Notre Dame is also supplying Wi-Fi 6E connectivity on the field during headliner events, such as live music performances and supporting the daily events held in indoor stadium spaces.
