Paris Musketeers, one of three expansion franchises for the 2023 European League of Football (ELF) season, has secured Stade Jean-Bouin as its home venue.
The third season of the American football league is expanding from 12 to 17 teams. With three conferences instead of two, the league will feature more interconference games than it had over its first two campaigns.
While the Milano Seamen, Fehérvár Enthroners and Prague Lions will join from their domestic leagues, the Musketeers, along with the Helvetic Guards (Zurich, Switzerland) and Munich Ravens are newly formed franchises.
The Musketeers also represent the first French team in the ELF and will play out their debut campaign at the Stade Jean-Bouin, the home to Top 14 rugby union club Stade Français, Championnat National football club FC Versailles 78 and Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team.
“We want to be the sport and cultural workshop that brings the best of the best of Paris together,” said Paris Musketeers general manager, Marc-Angelo Soumah.

The 19,904-capacity Stade Jean-Bouin, situated next to the Parc des Princes, will host its first ELF game when the Stuttgart Surge travel to Paris on June 10.
