This is a great opportunity to join the team as our Assistant Accountant and the role will transition over the next 6 months as Co-op Live opens.  the role brings variety which means no day will ever be the same.  You will be supporting on accounts payable, receivable, payroll, reconciliations prior to opening, after opening you will gain exposure to month end reporting, VAT, tax, event flash reporting and settlements.

You will be a positive disruptor and part of the UK’s largest music arena coming to Manchester, working with the best talent on and off the stage supporting global brands and touring bands who are just as excited as we are about Co-op Live.

The Role:

– Support on all accounts payable activities, getting involved in invoice processing, payment processing, supplier statement reconciliation
– Create & process month end journals (including accruals / prepayments)
– Be responsible for accounts receivable activities including invoice processing, receipt processing, credit control
– Use the time and attendance system to ensure the correct hours are submitted for the fortnightly payroll
– Support on event flash reporting and settlements after an event
– Work on balance sheet and bank reconciliations
– Support the Finance Manager and Management accountant on month-end management accounts and quarterly compliance reporting
– Finance project support such as testing finance systems and other system interfaces, documenting processes
– Other ad-hoc finance activities and projects as needed

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential:

– Previous experience in a Finance role supporting accounting processes
– You have a passion for getting things done, you’re a brilliant team player!
– Flexible approach, you like variety of which there will be loads!
– Experienced Microsoft Excel user
– An infectious can-do approach
– Strong communicator
– Strong relationship building

Desirable:

– Experience of music & entertainment industry
– Oracle net suite or Tipalti experience
– Experience of system user testing and process documentation
