Assistant Event Manager

RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Operations

SALARY RANGE: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum, subject to experience, knowledge and skills

TERMS: Full-time role subject to a 3-month probationary period

THE ROLE

London Stadium are looking for an Assistant Event Manager to join the team and support the Head of Operations with a range of event and commercial operations, including major events, filming, community events and other operational requirements.  This will include supporting the events team throughout the planning process, such as managing documentation, coordinating meetings and schedules, and providing general administrative support so that we can deliver effective and efficient events.

You will bring a strong background in venue events support with knowledge and experience in assisting with the delivery of a wide range of event operations, from pre planning stages and site visits; to event day operations and debriefing.

You should have good time management and process skills, as we will have a number of events, filming and projects at various stages, as well as demonstrating an understanding (through lived/work experience) of how inclusive events and activities can be created to aid community cohesion.  You will also have will have a positive, proactive attitude with a creative flair to problem solving whilst working to changing timelines and priorities.

We lead in promoting a diverse and inclusive range of events. In this role, we are looking for a talented individual with relevant lived/work experience of working with diverse communities like those we serve in east London and looking to develop them further.

Events and filming take place all year round, and at different times and days, so you may be required to work early mornings, evenings and weekends to fulfil particular project needs.
