AEG Europe is constantly looking at ways we can reduce our carbon impact and ensure we are a forward thinking, sustainable organisation.

We are now looking for a Director for delivery of Net Zero who will provide strategic direction, expertise, and support AEG Europe’s various business units as we transition to Net Zero. This position will operate under the guidance of AEG Europe’s Chief Operating Officer to further develop our Net Zero Strategy and to drive implementation of the plans across our business.

 

As Director for delivery of Net Zero your mission will be to:

• Further develop AEG Europe’s Net Zero Strategy

• Implement and drive plans that deliver Net Zero

• Establish AEG Europe as industry leaders and advocates for Net Zero

You’ll develop and deliver a Net Zero Strategy, roadmap, targets and measurement for all divisions within AEG Europe and map our impact, measure progress against targets, and report annually on our actions (and those of any relevant external stakeholders) that address energy, waste, procurement, transport, food, and governance.

We want you to talk about our successes and be the ‘voice of AEG Europe’ both externally and internally on the subject of sustainability and ensure that we are Best in Class, Always when it comes to sustainability.

You’ll prepare and manage (where appropriate) internal and external resources and budgets and actively engage with business, value chain and broader sector to ensure relevance, buy-in and delivery of plan.

You’ll also be continuously curious and knowledgeable about new initiatives and external debate in sustainability and share that knowledge.

We are looking for someone with substantial experience in sustainability programming or project management within a cross-functional environment. You’ll have experience in sustainable operations, production, or event management.

With demonstrated experience in the development of sustainability strategies and implementing programmes; you’ll also have experience in policy development and implementation, driving systems change and processes, and developing business cases and budgeting.

You’ll be a confident communicator with the ability to influence a variety of diverse stakeholders.

A creative thinker who is solutions focused, you’ll be a self-starter with the ability to manage your workload and priorities.

With a high degree of personal resilience and integrity, you’ll have a flexible approach to work with ability to travel, including weekends.

You’ll want to raise the bar in this role and look for ways to maximise efficiency. We encourage new ideas and innovation.
