Job Summary:
The Director of Stadium Operations will report directly to the President/General Manager, manage the parking, ID Verification and Clubhouse staff. This individual will be a liaison to the City of Birmingham Public Works as necessary.  Communication skills are critical, as this individual will be the point of contact for the EMT and Security teams for Game Day and Non-Game Day Events.  This individual will be required to work long hours, including assisting the Events/Parkview/Concessions staff as needed. This individual will need to gain a general understanding of the overall operation, as they will be assuring quality functionality of all elements at Regions Field.
Essential Functions:
We are looking for enthusiastic Director of Stadium Operations who possesses strong creative thinking, problem solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and most importantly, the management of people. A qualified candidate would possess basic technical skills to operate several tools such as camera systems, security card activations, alarm systems, video board and functionality of the iconic Birmingham Sign. This individual must be willing to become forklift-certified and have basic knowledge and/or experience with HVAC, masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for general maintenance of Regions Field per the details of the lease contract
-Management and execution of maintenance plans to ensure longevity of equipment, physical appearance and safety at the stadium
-Excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness
-Ability to maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance
-Strong communication and problem solving skills
-Ability to work in a high paced environment
-Electronic and computer proficiency
-High attention to detail
Duties:
-Manage the maintenance, cleaning and all other day-to-day operations of Regions Field
-Perform minor maintenance and repairs of stadium issues
-Assure the facility is locked down during non-operating hours
-Coordinate subcontractors and major repairs of the facility
-Managing and coordinating the needs and expectations of the contracted cleaning service
-Implement inventory control of all janitorial supply
-Supervise the cleaning crew on a daily basis
-Managing and coordinating the needs of the Fun Park
-Managing and coordinating the on-site and off-site parking facilities
-Order and inventory team on-field uniforms, staff and department uniform orders
-Oversee clubhouse managers and grounds crew
-Assisting in tarp pulls at various times of the day during the Barons Baseball Season
-Manage team travel coordination with hotel arrangements and player per diem and reimbursements
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 2 years of Stadium Operations experience
-Candidate must have basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills and the ability to make minor repairs
-Experience with managing game day staff such as a cleaning crew, medics and security a must
General Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift 50lbs up to 100lbs
-Ability to stand for up to 5+ hours during a game
-Ability to be on your feet for extended period of time
-Ability to work long hours, weekends and holidays
-Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to rain and heat
