Delaware North UK is hiring a full-time Events Manager at London Stadium in London. As Events Manager, you will lead the event planning process and serve as the key liaison between our clients, guests, and venue stakeholders. You will be responsible for fostering great working relationships with clients and guests using our event spaces for a variety of event styles.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the event planning for clients, venue owner partners, sponsors, and box holders.
  • Develop best practice methods to enhance the guest experience.
  • Own the supplier list, ensuring rates and privileges are accurate.
  • Diary manage the events calendar ensuring all information is accurate.
  • Plan the successful operation of the events area in collaboration with relevant department heads.
  • Manage the production and distribution of the weekly function sheets. Lead weekly briefing meeting with internal departments and key stakeholders.
  • Organise meetings and tastings as required.
  • Ensure company accounting policies are adhered to. Invoice and gather feedback in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the operation is in accordance with current practice, management, and measurement of all areas of responsibility including health & safety, food hygiene, fire regulations, licensing laws, and trading standards.

Qualifications

  • A Levels or 3+ years’ related experience.
  • Experience within a similar company environment in a comparable focus.
  • Proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and event hospitality and a wide range of event experience.
  • Competent skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationships with individuals across all company levels.
  • Possess great organisational skills and a focus on attention to detail.
  • Proactive and flexible approach to workload.
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.

Home to the Hammers, UK Athletics, host of the 2012 Summer Olympics, and Europe’s first series of MLB games, London Stadium is no stranger to hosting word-class events. The hospitality services at the 60 – 80,000 seated stadia have been managed by Delaware North since 2015.
