Leeds Rhinos are looking to appoint a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of their buildings and infrastructure at Headingley Stadium.

Reporting to the Operations Director the role holder will be responsible for planning preventative maintenance programmes and constantly surveying the Club’s facilities to determine any remedial action. You will deliver a well-kept, safe, secure, compliant and efficient stadium ensuring that the stadium remains fully operational and functional for all rugby matches and events. Other responsibilities include compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, leading colleagues in the operations team (maintenance and cleaning), and working closely with our stadium partners.

You will work alongside various contractors and suppliers and where relevant perform tenders for works required, obtain quotes and make recommendations to the Operations Director. You will ensure safe operational practices conducted by specialist sub-contractors including reviewing PTW and RAMS submissions. You will understand the importance of gathering key requirements and delivering to specification, budget and timescales.

You will be highly organised, thrive on a challenge and hold strong administrative skills. Accuracy and attention to detail will run across everything you touch.

You will be proactive, a ‘doer’ and strive to continually improve performance, reduce costs and improve customer service standards. The role holder will have effective written and verbal communication skills enabling them to present information to varying audiences including external suppliers and partners.

You don’t need to have a specific degree to apply for this role, but qualifications and knowledge in the following may improve your chances

  • Facilities management
  • Building management
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Green Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds

This is a full-time role. However, part time applications will be considered. You will be expected to work flexibly, and the role will require you to work match nights and other weekend and evening events.

The salary for the role will be dependent on your skills, experience and qualifications.
