This is a role of two halves, initially supporting the Finance mobilisation of the UK’s biggest live entertainment arena. You will be supporting the Financial Conroller in creating and adapting US business reports and processes and delivering a best-in-class finance service.

You will be a positive disruptor and part of the UK’s largest music arena coming to Manchester, working with the best talent on and off the stage supporting global brands and touring bands who are just as excited as we are about Co-op Live.

Our Role:

  • You will play a key role as a business partner to our awesome Co-op Live team working with each team to ensure they manage and understand their budgetary responsibilities
  • Working with the US finance team to adapt and map accounting processes to the UK
  • You will get involved in the design and testing of new accounting systems, Customer Relation Management, ticket master reporting, interfaces, and processes
  • Working with the Finance Director and Financial Controller to ensure all finance ledger activities, month end reconciliations and reporting is in place for opening in April 2024
  • You will support the small finance team, acting as a coach and mentor to more junior members of the team to encourage continuous learning and development
  • You will get exposure to business modelling, ledger management, event flash reporting, event settlements and financial planning and analysis activities to build upon your own personal development
  • To provide month end and quarter end reporting for Co-op Live, OVG and CFG as required
  • Provide accurate, timely and insightful event reporting that highlights spend
  • Development and creation of all management reporting
  • Managing all bank reporting and KPI covenants
  • Ensuring supplier payments are made on time
  • Creating effective, accurate and timely billing processes & overdue debt for our customers
  • Managing the fortnightly and monthly payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Proven finance experience
  • Flexible approach, you like variety of which there will be loads!
  • Experience of management accounts, transactional processes (AP, AR, Balance sheet reconciliations).
  • An infectious can do approach
  • Audit experience
  • Experienced Microsoft Excel user
  • Strong communicator
  • Strong relationship building
  • You have a passion for getting things done, you’re a brilliant team player!

Desirable:

  • Experience of music & entertainment industry
  • Experience of event settlements and working with promotors
  • Ticketing reporting and system knowledge
  • Oracle net suite or Tipalti experience
  • Experience of system user testing and process documentation.
