THE ORGANISATION

Warrington Wolves is an elite professional rugby league football club competing in the Betfred Super League, who play home fixtures at The Halliwell Jones Stadium

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a talented, motivated and experienced Head of Grounds to take the lead on the preparation, maintenance and upkeep of the playing surface at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that the stadium pitch is ready for use in advance of all training sessions and games that are to be played on it
• Carry out work procedures and maintenance of the pitch – including divoting and seeding, pitch aeration, watering, frost protection, scarifying, raking and brushing
• Maintain all equipment and use in a safe manner from a Health & Safety point of view
• Application of fertilizer and chemicals as appropriate, and keep reports (daily, weekly, annually) on chemical usage
• Maintain Head of Grounds room and machinery, keeping everything clean and tidy at all times
• Maintain the irrigation system when de-commissioning and when re-commissioning after winter

• An exceptional communicator with the ability and confidence to deal with colleagues and suppliers at every level
• Adaptable to ensure exceptional standards before, during and after any activities on the pitch
• Ability to work unsociable hours as required, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, in accordance with fixtures and events
