As the Head of Marketing you will be responsible for the overall strategy and success of our marketing campaigns and activity across the Club.

Working with all departments you will mastermind the build and implementation of the Club marketing calendar; the kit design and campaign sign-off; season ticket pricing and release and be responsible for all aspects of internal and external digital marketing, brand messaging, content marketing and brand management.

Managing a team you will develop a proactive marketing department promoting a data-driven approach and leading the decisions across the Club on campaigns, sales and creatives, ensuring your initiatives are delivered on time and to budget.

Marketing campaigns are the output, behind that you will mastermind all the data feeding into one central CRM system so the data can be segmented accordingly ensuring the campaigns are really targeted.

Reporting directly to the COO, you will work closely with the Senior Management Team and all Heads of Department to drive the marketing strategy and create a truly marketing-led commercial environment.

Who are you?

A marketing professional, with experience of setting strategy through data analysis and managing the implementation across departments. A progressive thinker, you will have worked with CRM systems and you will relish the chance to work in an environment where you can recommend innovation and implement change.

You will:

  • Have worked in a senior marketing role, ideally within professional sport such as football or rugby
  • Be proactive and innovative, with a desire to own and drive a strategy and implement a marketing-led culture
  • Have excellent people and management skills, a persuasive manner and be calm and considered in your decision making
  • Have built, managed and adhered to budgets, understand how to evaluate activity and ROI
  • Understand the paramountcy of data-mining and analytics to formulate strategy
  • Have a thorough understanding of brand management
  • Have proven experience of thriving in fast-paced, high impact environments
  • Want to progress and grow with the Club

Who are we?

Ipswich Town Football Club is the only professional football club in Suffolk. The Blues recently gained promotion to the Championship, and our proud history includes becoming champions of England under Sir Alf Ramsey, as well as FA Cup and UEFA Cup winners under Sir Bobby Robson.
