JOB FUNCTIONS

The operation of the stand will take place in the stadium of one of our largest clients in the city of Madrid.

As Head of Purchasing, you will be responsible for planning and running an entire operation that provides first-class customer service at all events, both on and off match days. And that guarantees the constant maintenance of operational quality and excellence through the supply of food and beverages, equipment and supplier management.

The position will conduct strategic acquisition activities across multiple product categories, seek better deals and find more profitable suppliers. As well as offering daily operational advice, standardization of operating procedures and guidance to their direct reports, internal and external customers and suppliers. At the same time, you will ensure that the quality of all vendor products and services exceeds expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a service-oriented work environment, guaranteeing the application of initiatives that generate growth, profitability and continuous improvement.
  • Implementation of clear SOP and SLA manuals in all purchasing operations and compliance with regulatory audits.
  • Participation and daily and active contribution in operations, annual plans and budgets.
  • Create a solid annual business plan for the department and drive the team to achieve it.
  • Create strong agreements and KPIs for all providers to ensure service levels meet required expectations.
  • Manage all supply chain implementation requirements to company systems.
  • Guarantee the application of credit control of the company.
  • Ensure that the purchasing team receives full training and makes full use of all available resources in the company.
  • Ensure that purchase orders are issued for all supplies of goods and services, that they are duly authorized and that they appear in the order register.
  • Ensure that purchase orders, packing slips and supplier invoices are correctly collated and properly approved for payment prior to submission to head office.
  • Create tools and processes for stock control in all areas and train the team in the new procedures.
  • Ensure the implementation and compliance of effective control systems for all inventories.
  • Regarding stocks, organize and verify the accuracy of daily, weekly and monthly inventories; making sure they are properly licensed for food, alcohol and consumables.
  • Investigate stock changes and report to management, ensuring that up-to-date purchase prices are used for all stocks.
  • Forecast of the necessary product volumes in close collaboration with all department heads.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers and distributors in the acquisition of the products and equipment necessary to execute the events.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify balance shifts in buyer-supplier power.
  • Find and partner with trusted vendors and suppliers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bulk purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated work experience as a manager, agent or purchasing officer.
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration.
  • Familiarize yourself with the contracting and management of suppliers.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data and to work with figures.
  • Great leadership ability.
  • Desirable command of English.
