As a Live Producer, you will be a key player in producing content to be published across; Manchester City FC social channels; The Man City Official App; Plus, our OTT platform CITY+ and other publishing partners, collaborating to achieve success within an inclusive and creative environment.

Based within the Etihad Campus, Manchester, you will work with the Live team and other creative departments, in producing and streaming live match day shows, coverage of Man City Women’s and Academy games, plus working on several exciting bespoke events within the club. This role is key in ideation, planning and the execution of the live content.

This position offers the opportunity to make an impact on the clubs’ content strategy. The successful applicant will be based between the City Football Academy, our new studio amongst the Men’s and Women’s team training centre, and the Etihad Stadium.

Role specific accountabilities:

1 Plan and deliver live match day shows, around every Manchester City, men’s team fixture. Manage and schedule regular presenters and match pundits. Creating extensive running orders that are appropriate for the fixture, including pre-recorded segments and ‘shoulder’ content. This role should create live content that the City fanbase will engage with and want to be part of.

2 Manage a team of Assistant producers throughout the pre-production process, and then lead a live crew during the broadcast of the live shows. This role will also take responsibility for producing and delivering all social video content and highlights packages from a busy match day schedule.

3 Schedule and Direct live Under 23s, Under 18s and occasional Man City Women FC fixtures. Direct a team of camera operators, Simply Live Replay operators, Graphic producers and commentators to stream around 40 games per season onto our City+ OTT platform.

4 As part of the wider City Studios team, you will also be given the chance to work on other formats away from the live games and shows.  Joining an energetic and passionate team developing formats for social channels and/or OTT.

Role specific knowledge, skills and experience:

What the role holder needs to know or have experience of to do the job effectively. NB- This is regarding the role requirement, not the person within the role.

Essential:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a live production control room.
• Vision mixing and directing live technical crew and talent.
• Technical knowledge particularly studio lighting
• Excellent football knowledge, particularly in English and European competitions.
• Experience in producing a detailed running order, call sheet and all documentation surrounding live productions.
• Managing production teams.

Desirable:

• Technically proficient in setting up studios and operating cameras.
• Familiarity with LiveU, Grabyo, Brightcove and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience within Virtual and Augmented studios.
• Extensive knowledge about Manchester City FC
