With innovative smart ‘bowl’ design, cutting edge visual and acoustic technology, plus 32 amazing bars and restaurants and 12 premium lounges and clubs, we’re creating a unique space for the people of Manchester and beyond. World class, planet friendly and all in the heart of our local vibrant community.

As we gear up to opening our doors, we’re looking for a Marketing Manager with a passion for being creative to amplify Co-op Live’s brand awareness.

It’s an awesome opportunity to be part of our event marketing promoting 120-150 events per year, supporting our grand weekend opening, recruitment attraction and ticket sale campaigns.

You will be a positive disruptor working with the best talent on and off the stage, supporting global brands and touring bands who are just as excited as we are about Co-op Live and being part of the UK’s largest music arena coming to Manchester.

Our Role

  • Plan & create effective and innovative marketing campaigns for event announcements and other general marketing campaigns
  • Support the delivery of the events marketing strategy for Co-op Live and be ahead of the design on what our partners, fans and artist will like
  • Plan to deliver across all marketing channels – digital, website, social media, email and in the venue – IPTV, Halo and signage
  • Identify new marketing trends covering our wide reach fan base and audience
  • Provide creative ideas and briefs to the inhouse and external design team
  • Coordinate the creation of artwork and marketing assets and manage the end-to-end approval process with promotors
  • Liaise with promotors, agents and partners so they have all essential materials for new events
  • Be reactive to events going on sale, adapting marketing plans in real time for ticket sales
  • Take charge of the email marketing schedule
  • Responsible for ideation and delivery across the always-on social calendar and digital marketing activity (app, web)
  • Collate and monitor insightful data and report on marketing and event activities, keeping us on track with measures and KPI’s
  • Take charge and lead on copywriting across social, web and email, working in line with our tone of voice
  • Support Co-op Live’s internal teams with branding, working with suppliers that align with our sustainability objectives, always considering the wider environmental impact
  • Work with the wider marketing team on distribution campaigns, creating multi leaflets, poster’s and bespoke marketing initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Graduate level or equivalent qualification or previous experience, ideally in marketing, events or communications
  • Demonstrate successfully managing the scheduling and delivery of campaigns from ideation to implementation & roll out planning
  • Experience of email marketing and CRM systems (ideally MS Dynamics)
  • Creative and dynamic with marketing platforms and event promotion
  • Thrive when its buzzing and show resilience, taking control, making decisions to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills
  • Team player who enjoys positive energy, being resourceful, motivated to work in a high achieving environment
  • Know your audience, analyse feedback and continuously look for ways to improve the fan experience
  • Self-motivated with creative-thinking skills and a team-first attitude
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at any one time
  • Ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail to maintain a high standard of service

Desirable

  • Experience of ideating and delivering social copy and content to drive an increase in followers, engagement and conversion
  • Previous marketing experience preferably within the live entertainment industry
  • Knowledge and experience of best practises in both B2C and B2B marketing operations.
  • Experience with using Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Positive relationship building with promotors, agents and agencies

Salary

Up to £35,000 plus benefits
