Joining Our Team

We are excited to invite applications for the position of Operations Director to lead the operational delivery at Edgbaston Stadium and across our other permanent and temporary venues. As a key member of the Executive Committee, you will oversee both matchday and non-matchday operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, customer service, and sustainability. This is a critical leadership role where you’ll directly contribute to shaping the future of Edgbaston as a world-class venue.

If you have the following skills and experience, we would love to hear from you:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in managing operations at large-scale venues, stadia, or sports events.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, contracts, and delivering complex projects on time and to budget.
  • Extensive event management experience, including crowd safety, transport planning, and overseeing both matchday and non-matchday events.
  • A proactive approach to compliance, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business and with external partners.
  • Passion for customer service, with a focus on enhancing the visitor experience and operational efficiency.
  • A track record of leadership, inspiring and developing high-performing teams to deliver on strategic and operational goals.
