Senior Event Manager

RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Operations

SALARY RANGE: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, subject to experience, knowledge and skills

TERMS: Full-time role subject to a 3-month probationary period

THE ROLE

London Stadium are looking for a Senior Event Manager to join the team and support the Head of Operations with a range of event and commercial operations, including major events, filming and other operational requirements.  This will also include assisting as part of a venue team with the yearly transition of the stadium for our summer event programme as well as supporting our community track team and external park team on event operations in our adjoining spaces.  You will bring a strong background in venue events management with knowledge and experience in contract management, forecasting, event management planning and stakeholder engagement.

The role will involve liaising with event and filming organisers’ project managers; production managers; and health and safety teams, to ensure the efficient planning and delivery of venue events.  This includes the full programme, from initiation through to post event reporting and debriefing. The role also requires direct experience of working with safety plans, risk assessments and method statements.

The ideal candidate will have a positive, proactive attitude with a creative flair to problem solving whilst working to changing timelines and priorities. You will work with autonomy on various projects and demonstrate excellent time management skills.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career in an operational event environment, with the opportunity to contribute to the operational and financial success of the stadium, through day to day operations, a variety of projects and exciting events such as football, Major League Baseball, athletics, rugby and community events.   No two days will be same so this role will be varied and give you the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of activities.  In return we offer development opportunities and many company benefits.

Events and filming take place all year round, and at different times and days, so you may be required to work early mornings, evenings and weekends to fulfil particular project needs.

Please see specific duties and requirements in the Role Profile and Person Specification in the recruitment pack.
