Summary

This corporate role of Director of Marketing will oversee and execute against marketing strategies supporting all ASM Global priorities, venues and distinct lines of business. Responsibilities include developing the strategy with all key stakeholders (revenue streams including Premium, Private Events, Ticket Sales, Food & Beverage, Partnerships), to developing and executing all related elements (marketing programs, roll-out decks, identifying necessary collateral) and rolling out to regional and local marketing teams. Also responsible for managing and effectively developing strategies for both systemwide and in-market venue activation across all marketing channels including web, email, digital and social. Serve as the brand ambassador and marketing liaison across company divisions as well as with outside partners.

Directly responsible for the marketing team’s success in developing programs that can be leveraged for global/national efforts for the overall success of the business. Owner of the company’s marketing activation calendar and responsible for managing the PR calendar for major ASM Global initiatives. This self-starter will be responsible to develop programs focused on overall company priorities with some specific programs for US and Europe and support other international efforts. This role is a major stakeholder for Revenue Growth programs and developing marketing materials, resources and best practices for local marketing use. This role will also work closely with media and promotional partnerships that drive overall ASM Global awareness, positive PR and support revenue generating programs for both home office and the venues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

including but are not limited to.

  • Manage overall field marketing communication, activation and approvals for venue level marketing efforts
  • Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to drive revenue, PR and the overall business
  • Partner and work closely with EVP and VP, Marketing to support company priorities and develop necessary collateral and other marketing materials.
  • Solicit, negotiate, secure and help cultivate partners for promotional and media programs that positively impact ASM Global at the local, national and global level
  • Coordinate promotional strategies and tactics with corporate and venue marketing teams to impact positive ROI and drive new revenue opportunities
  • Responsible for developing programs to increase revenue across various lines of business (around F&B, premium, private events)
  • Lead evolution of premium program, working closely with stakeholders in development of updated membership program
  • Supervise the development, creation and planned execution of field collateral for ASM Global and priority local venue business
  • Synchronize and standardize best practices for national programming, budget management, revenue tracking, and post-promotional reporting
  • Work with national marketing team to test, monitor and measure existing and new advertising channels to directly impact concert ticket sales and brand business units
  • Own and drive new opportunities by providing business direction for all supporting teams in planning and executing of programs; work closely with support team on strategic planning, development and deployment of offers
  • Develop other key programs, pursue other revenue opportunities that will grow overall business
  • Support additional marketing and revenue programs as needed
  • Coaching, developing local marketers across business holistically

Qualifications

  • A solid background in hospitality or live events preferred (multi-unit or regional experience)
  • Possess relationships in major entertainment/media companies/organizations
  • Collaborator to overall company priorities, work with other team members and able to sell through ideas
  • Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knowledge of and working relationships in media, public relations, venue and hospitality industries
  • Experience in leveraging partner media and assets
  • Ability to pitch to strategic partners and execute national promotional programs
  • Ability to work independent and self-starter, must be able to manage and drive projects to completion
  • Strong management skills and multi-market supervision experience a must

Education And/or Experience

  • A minimum of 7-10 years’ experience of promotional experience marketing events
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience required
