Who we are

London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) is the organisation that the Mayor of London has set up to drive the regeneration of the area of east London around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

This means that we do many different things, from building new homes, schools, universities, cultural institutions and business premises; to managing a beautiful Park and fantastic sporting venues; to en Elizabeth Olympic Park and other projects within the wider London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) area.running community events and sports programmes.

To do all this we work with many partners, including the four Boroughs around the Park and businesses, universities, community groups and local residents.

At the heart of everything we do is our determination that people living east London will benefit greatly from the creation of this amazing new metropolitan centre for London, particularly through having opportunities to learn, to get skills, to get jobs and to start and grow businesses.

Your role will therefore be central to our mission as an organisation.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as Senior Regeneration Manager, who will lead the delivery of one of our most exciting projects, the Good Growth Hub (GGH). This project is an exciting opportunity for us to promote and become a beacon of inclusive growth, which (explanation), and will really celebrate east London’s diverse talent. We’ll be opening a dedicated physical space at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to make this happen, and the Senior Regeneration Manager will lead the project through all stages of the Hub’s development.

You’ll build strong relationships with our stakeholders and lead the design and delivery of the annual plan, working to a robust and inclusive governance structure, which you’ll also design. You’ll have the ultimate responsibility to ensure that we maximise the opportunities this project provides, from writing and delivering high quality research, briefing and reports, to providing specialist advice on careers, employment, skills and enterprise services to our partners and providers, and managing budgets and ensuring that all deliverables related to the project are on track and achieved against the plan. You’ll be the ‘point person’ on the project and this is therefore a role that requires strong leadership.

The role provides some wonderful opportunities to work across our networks and lead and deliver a high profile project that will really enhance the lives of the people in the communities we serve and show east London as richly diverse with talent and opportunity. We’re really excited by the project and we expect you will be too.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate an excellent understanding of and commitment to inclusive growth, with a passion for engaging with local communities and networks and building strong partnering relationships. We are absolutely committed to better reflecting the communities we serve in east London, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about this too – we’re keen to hear about how your work and lived experience might make you suitable for this role. We’d welcome applications from people based in our local communities, or those from traditionally under-represented groups. We’re very proud of our inclusive culture at LLDC – what we care about is what you can do.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover for an existing employee on Maternity Leave. We would keenly consider a secondment from one of our four local authority partners and GLA family applicants.
