Senior Sales Manager – AEG Presents

AEG Presents create and host some of the world’s biggest live events, it is a company with global reach. They own and manage over 100 of the world’s leading venues over 5 continents and host 50 million guests annually during 10,000 events. As well as having a stake in several sports teams, festivals, stage shows, exhibits and broadcasts.

The Role

  • To achieve sponsorship targets on a variety of live entertainment projects within the AEG Presents and Goldenvoice portfolio
  • Work creatively with the AEG Presents event team to create fantastic opportunities for brands to activate and build campaigns around
  • Develop new business relationships, from cold call to long term partner from Marketing Manager to Marketing Director level
  • Have the gravitas experience and skills to lead the commercial success of live projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting, researching, developing concepts, taking opportunities to market, negotiating and closing deals across a wide range of AEG Presents business. Projects to include:
  • UK Festivals including Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time, All Points East and Rock en Seine in Paris
  • New festival concepts, including long term Presenting Partner opportunities
  • Title Sponsorship and ‘Official Partners’ for global artist tours such as Katy Perry, Elton John, Rolling Stones, Justin Bieber
  • AEG Presents venues sponsorships, including the Eventim Apollo
  • Take overall responsibility for sponsorship of the Country 2 Country festival at The O2
  • Encourage new business to other AEG properties including The O2, SSE Arena Wembley and the SSE Hydro, Glasgow and our global festival portfolio
  • Communicating the benefits of live music and entertainment sponsorship for a client from on-site activation to the value of IP rights
  • Leading sales processes including initiatives such as cold calling, direct marketing and client/networking events
  • Working alongside the internal marketing team to develop new marketing strategies to enhance and support sales processes and initiatives
  • Working at festivals and live music events, with the desire and drive to succeed in this environment
  • Developing a daily working relationship with other members of Global Partnerships in London and globally, and with the AEG Presents and Goldenvoice teams in the UK
  • Providing and promoting the highest level of customer service internally and externally
  • Ensuring that all relevant information is communicated regularly and accurately internally, using CRM and other key tools
  • Ensuring that you comply with all health and safety regulations and safe working practice as required by current legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and practices
  • Undertaking any other relevant duties or reasonable request as requested the GP and AEG Presents senior management team

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • Background in rights-holder sales with a proven track record in securing sponsorships
  • A tenacious seller with creative ideas
  • A great ‘black book’ of contacts within brands and agencies
  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of the marketing mix, including experiential and digital
  • Results orientated
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • A proven ability to work effectively as part of a team who enjoys working in a high achieving environment
  • Committed and flexible in your approach to work and to be able to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise
  • Ability to skilfully resolve issues whilst preserving both internal and external relationships

Desirable

  • Experience in selling to media and sponsorship agencies
  • Experience of selling sponsorship’s in the entertainment environment
  • Experience in media sales, event or promotion companies is beneficial
  • Lover of great music and the world’s best live shows
