This is a great opportunity for a passionate and innovate program specialist who enjoy taking personal ownership of developing great programs for the community.The VenueThe City of Moreton Bay is again sprinting ahead of the field to be Olympics ready, completing the brand new $15.8 million Indoor Centre. The stadium can host 2,000 fans in show court mode and it even doubles as a venue to host community events and conferences, with five brand-new multipurpose rooms and suites.This sporting complex is the hub for many sporting clubs in the area. The stadium offers the opportunity to all local sporting clubs to take advantage of this amazing, well-equipped space. The stadium caters for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton, futsal and many more sports and community programs.The RoleReporting directly to the Regional Manager, the Sporting Stadium Venue Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee the safety, evacuation and operation of the entire facility and to direct the day-to-day operation of the facility’s programs and services, as well as customer service staff.Skills & Attributes

  • Maintain compliance with all safe work methods and risk management procedures by routinely checking all areas of the facility
  • Maintain positive relationship with all internal and external stakeholder
  • Provide leadership and direction to all staff on duty
  • Introduce new community groups into the facility by making community connections and contacts and identifying programming needs within the local community
  • Organise, implement and managing all sporting competitions
  • Meet the goals and targets as set out in the annual business plan for program coordination and increase program participation during peak and off-peak time
  • Adopt safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of the programs within legislative guidelines and centre policies
  • Be responsible for venue maintenance, cleaning, and security
  • Maintain all program equipment in safe working order
  • Manage contract coaches and referees to optimise the programs and competitions

Essential

  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Blue Card – Police Check & Working with Children Check or equivalent
  • Ability to establish community connections with groups in the local area
  • Strong customer service background
  • Knowledge of leisure-based programs
  • Knowledge of local council plans to meet the needs of the community
  • Knowledge of Sports TG or similar platforms
  • Must have evening and weekend work availability. Dry site (no aquatics)

Desirable

  • Competent ability with Microsoft Office and prior experience/knowledge of sales processes
  • Basketball and/or Futsal experience/referee qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Experience working with multicultural individuals and groups
  • Experience with sporting competitions and events
