OPERATIONS TEAM

We have the new Hilton Garden Inn hotel opening 2022, Escapade – our luxury onsite residences in construction, new access control implementation, traffic and transport strategy, as well as the maintenance and development of new leisure programmes to deliver on the business’ longer term strategy of sustainability and diversification.
You’ll play an essential role in a fast-paced team that is made up of

• Venue (Track, site and buildings)
• Medical (Onsite medical facility and services)
• Security (public safety and site security)
• Health & Safety (including circuit safety team)
• Public Events (including the British Grand Prix, MotoGP, Classic and Club meetings and bespoke leisure events)
• Corporate & Hospitality events (Day to day delivery of track days, testing and conferencing, banqueting, catering and hospitality).

JOB PURPOSE

The post-holder is responsible for the operational management, leadership and development of the security services at the venue (with an emphasis on the provision of the 24/7 security provision). The post-holder will support any activities necessary to enable the business to respond effectively to security related incidents and emergencies on site. The post-holder will report to the Senior Security Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The post has a direct impact on the safety and security of the venue. It is essential that the venue security is managed and operated to the highest standards.
Specific responsibilities include:
Effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor activities of the Venue Security Team.
Effective supervision and management of the Security Accreditation Officer.
Monitoring and maintain physical security systems (e.g., access control, CCTV, intruder alarms).
Monitoring and maintaining a secure perimeter to the venue.
Maintain a high standard of security service provision to contracts on site (e.g., SIM, PEC, Escapades and Hilton Hotel).

Liaise with relevant stakeholders and tenants on site security related matters.
Develop relevant security related policies and procedures.
Conduct security related investigations as required.
Identify and record insecurities or maintenance issues throughout the Venue.
Represent / deputise for the Head of Security as required.
Deliver security services to Silverstone core values.

o Hold full UK manual driving licence.

o Previous experience in Security Manager role at large venue.
o Previous experience managing security contracts.
