NFL American football franchise the Washington Redskins is to upgrade Wi-Fi at its FedExField home stadium in an effort to improve fan experience at the venue.

The new system, which was used for the first time during the Redskins’ 42-24 win against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, will offer bandwidth of 10 gigabits per second.

Season-ticket holders will be able to use Wi-Fi to access services such as the NFL RedZone and NFL Game Pass for free, allowing them to watch live coverage from their seat in the stadium. Members can also redeem ‘Redskins Rewards Yards’ on game days.

Meanwhile, all Redskins fans can access a number of special offers on the team’s official mobile application while in the stadium. The app also features game-day services such as stadium mapping and way-finding, as well as in-seat ordering.
