Latest renderings of LA’s NFL stadium revealed

The Los Angeles Chargers NFL American football team has released a series of renderings of its new stadium at Hollywood Park, which it will share with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Los Angeles Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park is due to open in 2020 and is now halfway to being complete.

The state-of-the-art stadium will have a capacity of 70,000 and feature a canopy roof. Construction began in November 2016 and the project is expected to cost about $2.6bn in total.

In June, construction workers and NFL team officials celebrated the ‘topping out’ of the stadium, with a ceremony taking place as the highest steel beam was put into place.

The stadium, which has been designed by HKS Architects, is scheduled to host the Super Bowl in 2022. The 300-acre stadium complex will also feature hotels and apartments, along with a host of other amenities.
