Surrey County Cricket Club has teamed up with ticketing systems company TX Corporation to introduce mobile ticketing at its Kia Oval stadium, a move it says marks a first for a UK cricket venue.
The TX.IS mobile ticketing app will be launched at the historic London stadium, enabling fans to receive tickets directly to their mobile device, and access games at the Oval via their phone rather than traditional paper tickets.
The service will be available for all cricket at the Oval in 2019, excluding games that the stadium will host during this year’s World Cup. The TX.IS app is free, and allows fans to instantly view, transfer or send their tickets at any time, and is available to both iPhone and Android users.
