Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tennessee is set for a wide-ranging renovation project, with construction scheduled to begin later this year.
Finley Stadium has a capacity of 20,000 and primarily serves as the home of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s American football team. It also hosts games played by soccer team Chattanooga FC, which will join MLS Next Pro this year.
The redevelopment project will see the current Stadium Club replaced by the Ultra Club, with beer brand Michelob Ultra to take on naming rights. The club will feature climate-controlled interior spaces, new storefront entry, a newly constructed bar and various seating and lounge areas.
The new club will also offer a new, elevated menu curated by an in-house chef, as well as access to a full-service bar, a state-of-the-art video wall and private restrooms. Construction on the Ultra Club will be finished by late spring, and once open it will be available for private and corporate events for up to 250 guests.
Finley Stadium’s operating company has also approved an elevator modernisation project that will span over 10 weeks. In partnership with Chattanooga FC, a new field paint remover machine will also be purchased to speed the transition time from football to soccer events.
Brian Wright, executive director at Finley Stadium, said: “The Ultra Club adds a third venue to our campus and opens up a whole new category of uses year-round at our campus for the Chattanooga community. This premium club experience will be on-par with some of the top arenas and stadiums in the country and we’re excited for guests to experience it.”
It is hoped the improvements will open up the possibilities for new activations at Finley Stadium, with plans for 75 new events to take place at the Ultra Club annually.
