The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that this year’s edition of the Women’s Premier League T20 tournament will be held in Bengaluru and Delhi from February 23 to March 17.

The season will feature five teams competing in 20 league matches and two knockout matches. All matches will be single headers and begin at 7:30pm IST.

Bengaluru’s 33,000-capacity M. Chinnaswamy Stadium will host the first 11 matches, with the remaining nine league matches and two playoff matches taking place at Delhi’s 35,000-capacity Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on last year’s runners-up Delhi Capitals in the first game of the 2024 season on February 23. The Delhi leg of the season will begin on March 5.

Once the league stage is complete, the team that finishes first in the points table will secure a direct passage to the final on March 17. The second and third-placed teams will take part in The Eliminator on March 15, with the winner of this to advance to the final.

Last year’s WPL was the first edition of the tournament and took place solely in Mumbai, with matches played at Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium.

The WPL features teams representing Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Lucknow.
