Representatives of Aloha Halawa District Partners (AHDP) have presented preliminary concept images of the new Aloha Stadium in Hawaii.
AHDP was selected as the developer of the New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED) earlier this year. It was approved by the state after being the only group to submit a formal bid before the July 1 deadline.
After being selected, AHDP began working together with the state to resolve a range of technical and other matters and execute the relevant agreements by June 2025. It is hoped the new stadium can be opened in time for the University of Hawai’i’s college football season in 2028.
The NASED procurement process remains active, with further details of AHDP’s proposal to be made public through community outreach activities that will be conducted during the diligence and discussion phase.
The renderings released by AHDP are for illustrative purposes only and are subject to change.

AHDP includes Development Ventures Group, Stanford Carr Development, Ameresco and Aloha Stadium Community Development as the lead equity members, as well as a design team featuring RMA Architects, Populous, SB Architects, Henning Larsen, Alakea Design Group and WCIT Architecture.
Other members of the group include Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company and AECOM Hunt, as well as Castle & Cooke Hawaii and Wilson Okamoto Corporation.
Aloha Stadium first opened in 1975 but has largely been closed for events since December 2020 due to rust issues and deferred maintenance. AHDP is set to build a new 25,000-seat venue, as well as housing and retail facilities on the 98-acre site of the old Aloha Stadium.
