The first venue to use StadiArena technology, which converts outdoor stadia into indoor arenas, has opened in the Indian state of Gujarat.
The Ahmedabad Stadium opened earlier this month and is currently staging the Kabbadi World Cup, which concludes on Saturday.
The StadiArena technology allows one of the venue’s stands to be converted into a 4,000-capacity, multi-purpose indoor arena.
StadiArena, which is based in Meriden in the West Midlands, worked with stadium infrastructure firm TransStadia on the venture.
