Preston North End fits Deepdale with Bleep solution

Bleep UK PLC, a designer and manufacturer of Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) systems and payment solutions, has partnered with English Championship football club Preston North End to deliver a hospitality and payment solution at the team’s Deepdale stadium.

Bleep has also teamed up with event and stadia catering company Heathcote & Co on the initiative, which started at Deepdale last month.

The solution has been rolled out in hospitality lounges, bars and executive boxes in all corporate areas of Deepdale and was completed ahead of North End’s season-opener against Queens Park Rangers last weekend.

As part of the agreement, a number of fast-service food kiosks have been upgraded in Deepdale’s Sir Tom Finney Stand, with integrated contactless payments having been fitted.

Bleep’s TS-913 terminals, which feature space saving, built-in receipt printers and barcode scanners with customer facing video displays, have also been deployed. Each of the EPOS terminals integrates with an Ingenico payment terminal, ensuring fast and contactless payments. Bleep Handy ordering devices will also be used for drinks orders at Deepdale’s Invincibles Lounge and along the entire box corridor.

A similar project has been carried out by rival Championship club Middlesbrough and the success of this link-up was a key factor in Preston selecting Bleep as its EPOS and payments partner.

Gordon Bolton, managing director of Bleep UK PLC, said: “Preston North End and Heathcote’s are just the latest in a long line of football clubs, caterers and stadium operators who want more from their EPOS and payment solutions in their hospitality, concourse and retail environments. This is just the start of an exciting ongoing project to help improve service and fans’ experience, providing a stadium solution suitable for the top flight.

“As a lifelong Lilywhite, it is a real honour on both a personal and professional level to be partnering with Preston North End FC and Heathcote’s. Our track record and reputation catering for stadia and football clubs is second to none. We look forward to developing our relationship moving forward, as we strive to enhance the customer experience utilising our innovative solutions across the multiple transaction points, for all visitors to Deepdale.”

Bleep recently won contracts to install similar systems at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux stadium and the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester. Other clients include golf’s Open Championship, tennis grand slam Wimbledon and the Formula One motor-racing series.
