Suspended Brady honoured at Patriots' Gillette Stadium

New England Patriots star Tom Brady has been honoured at the team’s Gillette Stadium as the quarterback begins a four-game suspension at the start of the 2016 NFL American football season.

Brady is serving the ban for his role in ‘Deflategate’, where the Patriots used deflated footballs during the AFC Championship win against the Indianapolis Colts in January 2015.

With Brady not due back to the Patriots starting line-up until game five against the Cleveland Browns, the team has installed a giant poster of its star player at Gillette Stadium. The image has also been shown via the team’s official account on Twitter.

Patriots receiver Julian Edelman said: “Not going to lie, it's like one of your buddies going to jail. It’s one of those types of things. The whole situation is unfortunate, but it's happened. We've got to move on. We love him to death. On the field, off the field, he's been a great help in my life.”
