Accrington Stanley launch campaign to help fund electronic screen

English League Two football club Accrington Stanley has launched a campaign to help fund the purchase of a new electronic screen at its Wham Stadium home ground.

The Lancashire club, which plays in the fourth tier of English football, is aiming to raise £40,000 as part of the #UpInLights campaign, which has been launched in association with its official supporters club.

Stanley said it wants to be able to display match day information and video highlights on the screen. The screen would be located in the area adjacent to the control box between the Whinney Hill away terrace and away seating to allow for maximum visibility.

The 5,000-capacity Wham Stadium has undergone a number of changes in recent months and it is hoped the latest plans will help elevate the club to the next level.

Fans can make donations in return for rewards such as pin-badges, signed jerseys and training sessions with the first team. Donations can also be made. Click here to find out more about how to donate.
