Manchester City toasts Heineken extension

Heineken products will continue to be served at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium after the Dutch brewing company extended its partnership with the English Premier League football club.

Heineken has been a partner of City for more than 20 years and will continue to serve as the club’s official UK beer provider. The length of the new deal was not revealed.

Under the agreement, Heineken brands such as Foster’s, Strongbow, Bulmers, Amstel and John Smith’s will continue to be sold at the Etihad on match days. The deal also extends to any music concerts the club hosts at the stadium.

Danny Wilson, operations director at City, said: “At Manchester City, we strive to provide our fans and visitors with an unparalleled experience and collaborating with a drinks brand who strive for that same level of excellence allows us to ensure supporters in our concourse and hospitality areas are able to enjoy premium quality products.”

Heineken’s partnership with City stretches back to when the club played at the Maine Road stadium.
