San Manuel Casino has been unveiled as a founding partner of Allegiant Stadium, which will be the new home of the Raiders NFL American football franchise when it opens next year.
Under the deal with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, San Manuel Casino will be an official sponsor of the Raiders, as well as a founding partner of the stadium, from the start of the 2020 season.
Legends Global Partnerships represented the Raiders to secure the founding partnership with San Manuel Casino as a part of its duties as the stadium’s official premium ticketing and sponsorship agency.
San Manuel already supports nine other professional sports teams across the NFL, NHL, MLB and MLS leagues.
“The popularity of the Raiders in Southern California is unmatched,” said Loren Gill, CEO of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. “Through this partnership we are thrilled to offer our guests more access to high quality sports and entertainment.”
Raiders president Marc Badain added: “Together we remain aligned in our dedication to providing our fans with the best in-class experience.”
Las Vegas-based travel company Allegiant signed up as the naming-rights sponsor of the under-construction 65,000-seat stadium in August. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but reports suggested that Allegiant is likely to pay the Raiders between $20m and $25m per year in cash and in-kind services.
Last month, it was revealed that the Allegiant Stadium project budget had increased by a further $90m (£73m/€82m), bringing the total cost of the project to $1.97bn.
