MGM Resorts to introduce Stadium Walk experience for Raiders fans

MGM Resorts has unveiled details of a Stadium Walk experience at Allegiant Stadium, which is preparing to welcome Las Vegas Raiders fans for the first time when the NFL season gets underway in September.

The experience will see host properties Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and Luxor Hotel & Casino offer special room packages, sports-related festivities and live entertainment options programmed throughout the season.

Mandalay Bay and Luxor will be offering ‘Strip to Stadium’ hotel packages for guests travelling to Las Vegas to watch the Raiders. Packages will include a two-night stay at Mandalay Bay or Luxor and up to $150 food and beverage credit per stay that can be used at the Bud Light Beer Garden or at venues throughout the properties.

The Bud Light Beer Garden will be located on Las Vegas’ iconic Strip on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue. The space is set to become a ‘gameday getaway’ for fans and will feature a host, DJs and other live entertainment; interactive games including cornhole, football challenges, life-size Jenga and chess; and elevated food and beverage packages.

The Beer Garden will feature food and beverage packages from MGM Resorts restaurants such as Beerhaus, Diablo’s Cantina, International Smoke and Public House. The venue will be open for four hours before kickoff on game days.

Chuck Bowling, president and chief operating officer of Mandalay Bay and Luxor, said: “The upcoming football season is going to be more exciting than ever, especially in Las Vegas, as we welcome professional football fans into Allegiant Stadium for the first time.

“The experience we’ve created with MGM Resorts Stadium Walk will allow guests to build an entire Las Vegas getaway around each game, where they can enjoy the energy of a tailgate party on The Strip with the convenience of being right next door to the stadium.”

Allegiant Stadium opened last year but Raiders fans have not been able to attend games at the venue due to COVID-19 restrictions. There is growing optimism that the stadium can open at full capacity next season as infection rates fall in the US and the vaccination roll-out continues.

Last week, the Raiders partnered with Wynn Resorts to open a new nightlife space at Allegiant Stadium. Wynn Field Club, which will open later in the year, will be situated at field level and span the entire length of the stadium’s north end zone. The space will span 11,000 square feet and will feature appearances from Wynn Nightlife’s roster of DJs and premium bottle service.

Allegiant Stadium recently launched a virtual recruitment drive to fill up to 2,200 new part-time game-day positions ahead of the return of fans. The stadium has also been awarded hosting rights to this year’s CONCACAF Gold Cup final on August 1, with details about attendance and ticketing to be announced nearer the time.
