Levy UK + Ireland invests in Peppermint

Sports and entertainment hospitality caterer Levy UK + Ireland has acquired a 50% stake in bars and event solutions provider Peppermint.

The transaction follows a successful partnership between the two companies over the past year that included Peppermint providing support at various venues across the Levy portfolio, including Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Cheltenham Racecourse, Villa Park and Aviva Stadium.

The value of the stake in Peppermint, which services more than 40 events per year, has not been disclosed.

“The introduction came from AEG, our partners at the O2, who Peppermint also works alongside – a great example of how mutual partners and like-minded businesses can work together,” Jon Davies, managing director of Levy UK + Ireland, said.

“Our commitment to the consumer journey using leading-edge technology and data insight matched with Peppermint’s award-winning capabilities will be a force to be reckoned with.

“Partnering with one of the most innovative and reputable specialists across the UK’s hospitality industry to provide our clients and their fans with the best when it comes to choice, quality and service is central to our strategy.”

Alex Brooke, co-founder at Peppermint, said: “The natural evolution of our business is to build on our work in greenfield events into the sports sector and continue adding real value to our Levy partnership and the contracts and venues they operate.”

Last week, Levy boosted their sports portfolio by sealing a new partnership with Scottish Premiership football club Rangers.
