Stade Rennais aims to reduce traffic with carpool app StadiumGO

French Ligue 1 team Stade Rennais FC has partnered with StadiumGO to encourage fans to share journeys to their games.

Through the StadiumGO platform, Rennes supporters wanting to attend home and away fixtures can now more easily communicate with others and carpool together.

The service is live ahead of the club’s next home game, against Brest on Wednesday, August 31.

The club said that carpoolers, with a minimum of one driver and one passenger, will be able to benefit from a parking space within a dedicated area at the Roazhon Park stadium.

“This is an economical and ecological solution that works via a downloadable application on your smartphone for both home and away matches,” the club said.

Rennes, who finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season, play at the 28,000-capacity Roazhon Park. The club appeared in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 2020-21 and have qualified for this season’s UEFA Europa League competition.
