ASM Global venues to add mobile charging stations through ChargeFuze deal

ASM Global has signed a long-term partnership with on-the-go mobile charging company ChargeFuze.

As the official charging provider of ASM Global venues, ChargeFuze’s portable charging network will be installed at the operator’s worldwide network of arenas, stadiums, theatres and convention centres.

The technology will enable fans to remain untethered and charge any device while remaining in their seats. ASM Global said the partnership marks the first for an international venue company and will allow fans to maintain access to initiatives such as digital ticketing and on-demand food ordering.

ChargeFuze’s portable chargers will be made available for rental via a QR code scan. Once finished, fans can return the charger at their convenience to any of the charging locations throughout the venue.

The technology has already been rolled out across many ASM Global venues, including US Bank Stadium, Allegiant Stadium, RingCentral Coliseum, Fiserv Forum and more. Installations will continue throughout ASM Global’s venue portfolio in the US and Europe.

Ron Bension, president and chief executive of ASM Global, said: “Innovating the guest experience is at the forefront of everything we do. ChargeFuze will untether our fans from antiquated charging stations, ensuring they don’t miss any of the action while keeping their devices fully charged.”

ChargeFuze co-founder Ryan Levy added: “As we continue to scale and pioneer the landscape for out-of-home mobile charging, our goal is to become the ubiquitous solution across all experiences.

“We believe that in today’s digital world, individuals should always be enabled by their devices to experience and share all that’s available. We are thrilled to partner with ASM Global, further accelerating our growth as we will reach over 20,000 events and 100-plus million fans who pass through ASM Global’s doors every year.”

The deal has been signed after ChargeFuze recently agreed a similar partnership with New York’s Madison Square Garden arena.

As part of the deal, 10 ChargeFuze stations will be installed at Madison Square Garden, which serves as the home of the NBA’s New York Knicks and NHL’s New York Rangers.

The charging stations will be available for guests to use at Knicks and Rangers games, and at the various music concerts and other events the arena hosts throughout the year.
