Naming rights partner signs up for Macedonian national stadium

Makedonski Telekom, a Macedonian telecommunications company, has acquired naming rights for Philip II National Arena, the country’s national football stadium.

The agreement will run for three-and-a-half years, through to the end of the 2018-19 season.

The venue, which is based in Skopje and has a capacity of 33,000, will be known as the Telekom Arena for the duration of the deal.

The stadium will host the 2017 edition of the Uefa Super Cup, the early-season curtain-raiser between the winners of the European Champions League and Europa League.

The venue hosts national team football matches and is also the home stadium of FK Vardar and FK Rabotnicki, which both compete in the top tier of Macedonian football.
