Oracle Arena, home to NBA basketball franchise the Golden State Warriors in Oakland, California, has partnered with Toshiba to install ultra-high-definition digital signage and improve its fan experience.
Toshiba’s LED ribbon displays stream in-game team and player statistics in ultra HD. The upgraded digital signage also spotlights upcoming games, concerts and special events while streaming sponsor advertisements.
The ribbon display is a nearly three feet wide, 360-degree screen that splits the venue’s upper and lower decks at the Oracle Arena.
Toshiba’s digital signage also rings the top and bottom of the main scoreboard above centre court with two-foot wide ribbons.
The scoreboard’s upper ribbon display streams information and measures 96 feet long. The ribbon display on the lower section of the scoreboard is 50 feet long.
“Oracle Arena continually strives to enhance the comprehensive event experience for our patrons,” said Jon Werbeck, vice-president, AEG Global Partnerships, which brokered the agreement.
“The introduction of Toshiba’s new ultra HD ribbon displays throughout our venue is definitively enabling us to meet this objective. Upgrading to the company’s best-in-class digital signage further underscores our commitment of providing Oracle Arena patrons with an unparalleled event experience.”
Bill Melo, Toshiba America Business Solutions chief marketing executive, said: “We are excited to work with Oracle Arena on this exciting project. It was important for us to implement state-of-the-art products to help enhance the fan experience at Oracle Arena.”
