Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum welcomes one millionth visitor

Fiserv Forum, the recently-opened home of NBA basketball franchise the Milwaukee Bucks, welcomed its one millionth visitor during yesterday’s (Wednesday’s) game against the Washington Wizards.

The one million fans comprise all attendees of Bucks and Marquette University home games, as well as non-basketball ticketed events, including concerts and performances, since the 17,500-seat arena opened in August 2018.

The lucky fan, Samantha Holschuh, was gifted a vast array of swag, including playoff and concert tickets, Leinenkugel’s beer, Jack Daniels, Sargento cheese and sausage and BMO and SURG restaurant group gift cards, and Palermo’s pizza for a year.

Holschuh was chosen by the Bucks’ chief marketing officer, Dustin Godsey, who monitored a real-time ticketing app waiting for the number to hit 3,000.

“With multiple entry points into the building, we randomly selected a fan that is the best approximation of one million,” Hilary Dickinson, manager of communications for the Bucks and Fiserv Forum, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

When asked whether she was surprised by the attention, Holschuh said: “I’ll say. I just wanted to get here early so I could get a free (fan giveaway) hat.”

Raj Saha, general manager of Fiserv Forum, will be one of the key speakers at this year’s TheStadiumBusiness Summit, which will take place at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester from June 4-5.
