Barcelona’s motorsport venue the Circuit de Catalunya has appointed StubHub as its official ticket sales channel to drive interest from foreign fans to MotoGP and F1 events.
Under the agreement, the ticketing firm will sell passes for the Formula One grand prix in 2020, as well as the GranPremi de Catalunya de MotoGP.
International ticket sales are a key objective for the partnership as StubHub reports an increasing trend in fans travelling further afield for live events. The UK, along with France, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Germany and Poland are just some of the nationalities that most frequently visit the circuit in the popular Spanish city, however the group said it is keen to expand this to further-reaching nationalities such as Russia, China and the US.
