GroundWOW launches global recruitment drive

UK autonomous technology company GroundWOW has announced a major recruitment drive to serve its ongoing development, with job openings across all areas of the business.

Today’s (Wednesday’s) announcement marks GroundWOW’s biggest ever recruitment push with over 20 new roles available within the company, and more to be announced, in locations across the UK and international territories.

The announcement is the first step in what is envisioned as a huge growth process which will see the company continue to increase in size over the next couple of years.

GroundWOW founder and CEO, Tony Rhoades, said: “Since we launched GroundWOW we have been blown away by the interest. As of today that palpable market demand spans over 80 countries across five continents.

“It is clear that appetite for our world first technology is continuing to grow too. It’s for this reason I’m very pleased to announce a significant phase of recruitment that will take our workforce from 29 today to over 150 by December 2024.

“This will see job creation in UK, North America, EMEA, and APAC regions across all departments from high technology robotics and software development to sales, marketing, field engineering, customer care, finance and leadership.

York’s LNER Community Stadium last month became the latest venue to adopt GroundWOW’s products in an effort to open up new revenue opportunities. Venue operator York Stadium Management took delivery and set up the GroundWOW SFX MAX product, with National League football club York City and Championship rugby league team York Knights reinventing their revenue model by converting under-utilised ground into advertising inventory.

GroundWOW, recipient of TheStadiumBusiness Innovation Award in December 2021, seeks to unlock the value in sports stadia by turning any surface into advertising real estate easily and quickly.
