The Mexican national football team has confirmed the four dates for its annual MexTour of the US.

The recently crowned CONCACAF Gold Cup winners will play games in Arlington, Atlanta, Charlotte and Philadelphia in September and October.

Mexico will face Australia at the AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, North Texas on September 9, and take on Uzbekistan at Atlanta Falcons’ Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Georgia on September 12.

The team then plays Ghana on October 14 at Bank of America Stadium, which belongs to the Carolina Panthers and MLS’s Charlotte FC. The series finishes three days later when Mexico play Germany at the Lincoln Financial Field home of the Philadelphia Eagles in Pennsylvania.

All four games of the tour – which was first staged in 2003 – will be staged during two FIFA windows, allowing for the teams to call up their top squads.

“We are honoured to serve as a host venue for the 20th edition of the Mexican national team’s US tour,” said Frank Gumienny, chief operating officer for the Philadelphia Eagles. “Lincoln Financial Field will once again have the opportunity to showcase world-class soccer on an international stage when it welcomes in the Mexican and German men’s national teams, as well as the global soccer community on October 17.”

Some 70,000 fans watched Mexico play Honduras at the AT&T in 2021, with the team’s other two games at the venue attracting more than 50,000 fans.
